Gene and Mary Senti
Gene Senti was a master at what he did. Early in his career at Collins, he became known for his two specialties. The first was his innate ability to find clever electrical mechanical solutions to challenging problems. Many of the tuning designs in our Collins radios originated from alarm clock parts and various gears and parts that he kept on his desk. His other clear forte was in analyzing and making up Birdie Charts for the receivers that were done in his group and outside in other divisions. This was a clear talent in the days when they did not have computers to help solve this complex analysis. Gene was an excellent manager and also a dedicated innovator. His imagination brought us the KWM-1 and the 30L-1 among many other accomplishments. He and his wife Mary lived in retirement in Cedar Rapids for many years. They have both now gone to rest. We miss them.
