Gene Senti Checking Out His Baby
Famous for many of his contributions to Transmitter/Receiver design, Gene Senti is shown he with his ubiquitous pipe demonstrating some of the features of his newly developed KWM-1 transceiver. Gene was the first engineer to see the future and combine a transmitter and receiver in the same design using a common VFO (PTO). While there had been some combination T?R units developed during WW 2, Gene was the first engineer to accomplish a flexible multi-band design of a transceiver. Note the “Hi Tech” Heathkit oscilloscope in use from his lab.
